Never Do These 4 Things or Get Blacklisted by Employers

Looking for a job is challenging. Getting a job that fulfills your dream is even more challenging. Especially for fresh graduates who are considered to have minimal experience. There are various stages before reaching the position you always wanted, and it begins with applying for a job. It is common for some jobseekers to make mistakes, even the fatal ones. Sometimes they are unaware of their action that is considered as fatal mistakes.

However, some fatal mistakes can put jobseekers' names into the "avoided applicants" alias on the company's blacklist. It will make the applications will not be processed further by recruiters so that there is no opportunity to join the company. Thus, it’s better to avoid every action that will make you lost the chance to have a job in your dream company forever. The following lists are things you should not ever do:

  1. Do not attend the interview invitation

As a job seeker who is actively applying for jobs at various companies, of course, you wish that there are companies that process your job applications to the next phase. It would be a critical mistake if you did not attend a job interview invitation without giving any reason.

Especially when you confirm that you can come but do not appear when the interview is held. In this case, you cannot re-submit your job application at the company that you have left. When you get an interview invitation, you have to confirm your presence.

  1. List the false information

Writing false information on your resume to impress recruiters is definitely considered a serious mistake. For example, you exaggerate the skills you have or fake work experiences that you deliberately list. You should be aware that recruiters also conduct verification to the candidate’s former employer. So it would be best if you only list accurate information.

  1. Ask about the next hiring process over and over again

Every candidate has to be patient when they are waiting for a job interview invitation. Do not ever try to ask the company about the next hiring process over and over again. It will make them uncomfortable. If you ask the recruiter constantly, it will put your name on their blacklist. Please wait at least 14 days for further details from the company, whether you are hired or rejected. If there is no information within that period, it is better to apply to other companies.

  1. Do not ever spam or apply for different positions in a company at the same time

If you send multiple emails and apply for different positions simultaneously, your chances of qualifying for the next stage will be smaller and even disappear. It is because you have troubled them with your emails. So do not be careless. Choose a position with qualifications that suit your skills and double-check your application's completeness before sending the email to the recruiter.
